4 Effortless Shine Lip Glosses

Lipsticks or lip glosses? Although I can’t go wrong with a good long lasting lipstick, I find myself needing lip gloss here and there. I’d have to say that both work well for me. They both compliment the overall appearance of my lips and other lip colors. There’s only one hiccup(for me) when it comes to wearing lip glosses. They don't last as long as my lipsticks. Preferably, lipstick is my first choice. I’m finding t hat there are other necessary reasons to keep a few lip glosses in my cosmetic collection. I'm sharing a few of my “all under $10” top picks and why I personally like them. I’m not limited to these particular lip glosses. For now, I use these four brands based on the occasion or my need for them. They can be easily accessed over the counter!

1. Maybelline New York LIFTER Gloss


The first thing that caught my eye about this lip gloss was the unique embossed packaging. It’s not important, but it’s eye-catching. Eye-catching opens the door to curiosity. Curiosity sales. More importantly, I like the pearl color of the actual lip gloss. It gives off a sparkly glow effect. Yet, it’s clear.


Use:

  • comes with a soft applicator
  • glides on easily and smoothly


Interests: 

  • very light feel to it 
  • not tacky
  • sparkly without the glittery feel
  • moisturized lips
  • nice scent
  • moisture lasting longer than the actual lip gloss
  • similar lip balm benefits
  • not overly shiny
  • neutral/natural look
  • one coat coverage


My Thoughts: Definitely, a daily gloss for me. It's good for lip care and shine.

2. Revlon Super Lustrous THE GLOSS


Of course, the simple but elegant packaging was the first thing that I noticed. I love the black and gold colors together.  I was looking for a clear gloss without the sparkle and glitter for those not so glitzy glam days and occasions.


Use: 

  •  softer/larger applicator than most
  •  glides on easily and smoothly


Interests: 

  • neutral and natural look 
  • little water and drink proof 
  • doesn’t leave the lips feeling dry
  • one coat coverage
  • not tacky
  • feels smooth
  • nice shine 



My Thoughts:  I feel like it’s an everyday gloss and  for any occasion.

3. Flower GALAXY GLAZE Holographic Lip Gloss


I call it my “lights, camera, action” lip gloss… This is one, I like for a night out or a little holiday sparkle and shine. Under the lights this lip gloss is sparkly and beautiful. It adds an extra glitter effect to other lip colors.


Use: 

  • thin applicator
  • glides on easily 


Interests:

  • glowing & glittery effect 
  • light or day sparkle
  • not tacky
  • glitter you see but  don’t feel



 My Thoughts: A gloss, I would choose for a very sparkly occasion.

4. Broadway VITA-LIP Honey 


This is my go to “gloss, gloss”.  I’m a huge fan of honey. It wasn’t hard choosing this one. The  packaging is very classic. The gold top gives it an elegant modern touch.


Use: 

  • applicator is attached to bottle
  • no dipping
  • glides on easily


Made the most of:

  • very smooth
  • honey scent
  • glides on smooth 
  • very shiny 
  • not tacky


My thoughts: I’d choose this one for a special date or beauty and fashion photography.
